Carb counting via 3D scan.

Carbetic measures the meal via 3D scan, calculates the volume and weight of each ingredient, and shows carbohydrates, absorption time, calories, fat, protein, FPU and fibre. Recipes (photographed or loaded via a link) and dictated meals are analysed as well.

For healthcare professionals, Carbetic is free. And patients who cannot afford the subscription (€4.99/month) receive lifetime free access on your recommendation.

Clinical studies

In collaboration with MedUni Vienna & Klinik Landstraße.

Two clinical studies are currently assessing the accuracy of the app: with Dr. Martin Tauschmann, PhD at MedUni Vienna (children) and with Dr. Katharina Vafiadis-Maruszczak, MSc, PhD at Klinik Landstraße (adults). Carbetic is, however, not a medical device. It is a tool for estimating carbohydrate content.

New: Carbetic Follow

Carb analyses can be shared.

Carbetic Follow is a free web dashboard for treatment teams and families. It shows the meals patients choose to share from the app: one carbohydrate value per meal, a day-by-day overview from morning to night, and printable PDF reports for the conversation in your practice.

Sharing is entirely up to the person themselves and can be turned off at any time. Carbetic Follow shows estimates from the app and, like Carbetic itself, is not a medical device.
