Create your account with Apple, Google or email

You can look around T1D Babysitting without an account. You only create one when you want to take part.

When you need an account

You can open the app and look around without an account, but to see sitters and families near you, you publish a profile.

You need an account to publish a profile, send or answer messages, and write reviews. The app asks you to create one at that moment.

Families must be 18 or older. Sitters must be at least 16.

Create your account

1. Start where you are: when you set up a family or sitter profile, when you try to send a message, or from “ID verification” in Profile.
2. On “Create your account”, choose Sign in with Apple, Continue with Google or Continue with email. All three work on iPhone and on Android.
3. Confirm with Apple or Google as you usually do. With email, enter your address and tap the sign-in link we send you. You don't need a password.
4. Accept the Network terms and the Community guidelines by ticking “I agree”. The links open the full texts. No profile is saved without this, and the app asks you again when the texts change.
5. Continue where you were, for example with your profile. You need the ID check to send messages.

You can stop at any time with “Not now”. Nothing is accepted until you agree.

What we receive when you sign in

From Apple or Google: an identifier, your email address and your name, if they share it. If you hide your email with Apple, we receive a private relay address instead. With email: only your email address. We use your name only to fill in your details for you. Other members never see your email address. The name others see on your profile is your first name and the first letter of your last name, for example “Lena M.”. After your ID check, it comes from your ID.

We use this to sign you in, to recognise you in both Carbetic apps and when you write to us from that address. Notices about your account and safety reach you in the app.

Your account is linked to the Carbetic app ID that is already on your phone, so the Carbetic data you have stays with you.

One account for both apps

T1D Babysitting is part of the Carbetic app (the “T1D Babysitting” button at the top of the home screen) and is also its own app, “T1D Babysitting by Carbetic”. It is one network with one account.

Use the same Apple or Google account, or the same email address, in both apps. If the other app is on your phone, you may see “Continue with your Carbetic account” or “Continue with your Babysitter account”.

If you sign in with a different Apple or Google account, a new account is started. If your ID check then shows that you already have an account, the app tells you, shows which sign-in it uses and signs you in there with one tap.

New phone, or signed out

On a new phone, open Profile and tap “Already have an account? Sign in”. Use the same method as before.

If you see “This email already has a Carbetic account”, sign in with the method you used the first time.

If you were signed out, a banner asks you to sign in again to see your profile and messages.

Keep your account secure

Keep your Apple or Google login and your email account to yourself. If we tell you that your account was signed in on a new device and it wasn't you, open Profile, then “Sign-in and devices”, and tap “Sign out other devices”. Your own phone stays signed in.

If you think someone else uses your account, write to us at once. Under Profile, Account you find your account ID. Please add it to your message.
