Edit your profile
You can change most of your profile at any time. Changes are checked automatically before they go live.
In short
- Go to Profile, then Your profiles, and choose your family or sitter profile.
- After the ID check, your name comes from your ID and can't be edited.
- Your live profile stays as it is until your changes pass the check.
Where to edit
- Open the Profile tab.
- Under “Your profiles”, tap “Family profile” or “Sitter profile”.
- Choose the part you want to change, for example photos, your text or rates, and save.
- Tap “View as others see it” to check the result.
Each profile shows its status: Live, Paused, Draft, Checking or Needs a change.
What you can change
Sitter profile: up to 6 photos, the text about you, your answer to “What experience do you have with diabetes?”, the devices you know, hobbies (up to 8), languages and levels, and hourly and overnight rates.
Family profile: up to 6 photos (the first one shows you, the others can be family photos, also with your children), the text about your family, how many children you have and their age bands, how many of them have T1D, the diabetes devices they use, languages and budget.
Your answer about your experience with diabetes and the devices you know are your own statements. Devices are labelled “Self-declared” on your profile.
Your photos are visible to everyone who can see your profile. Profile photo rules explains what you can post.
What you can't change yourself
- Your name. After the ID check, it comes from your ID: your first name and the first letter of your last name. Before the check, your profile shows the first name and the first letter of the last name you typed.
- Your age. After the ID check, it also comes from your ID. Before the check, it comes from the birth month and year you gave. Adult sitters can hide it with “Show my age”. For sitters aged 16 or 17 it is always shown.
- Your address has its own step. See Your address and approximate location.
Rules for your texts
- No phone numbers, email addresses, links, social media names or bank details. Contact details can't be sent in the chat either, so swap numbers in person when you meet.
- No children's names, schools or exact birthdays.
- No promises about diabetes treatment, such as adjusting insulin doses. Describe your experience instead.
- No advertising, and nothing on behalf of a company. Profiles are for private individuals.
- Family texts can't ask for a particular gender, age, origin, religion or similar. Describe what your family needs instead.
- Nothing sexual, hateful or offensive.
A sitter text has 50 to 1,000 characters, a family text up to 1,000. The automatic check uses simple fixed rules: it looks for contact details, links, a short list of banned words and the length. If a change doesn't pass, the app shows what to change right under the field. You can ask for a human review. The other rules aren't checked automatically. We act on them when someone reports a profile.
Health information
The answer “I have diabetes myself” is about your own health. It is shown as “Has T1D” only with your explicit consent. You can switch it off at any time, and it disappears at once.
A family profile can show how many of your children have T1D and the diabetes devices they use. This needs your consent as parent or legal guardian. If you withdraw it, these details are hidden at once. How many children you have and their age bands are shown without this consent.
Rates and a complete profile
Your rates or budget are your own decision, up to €30 an hour (or a similar round amount in your currency). The rates the app suggests are general guidance based on typical local babysitting rates, not a price we set. You agree the price directly with each other. Where we have a reliable source, the app links to official information on minimum pay for household work.
Complete profiles get a small boost within their distance band. Distance always comes first, and nobody can pay to be shown higher.
Two profiles, one account
One account can hold a family profile and a sitter profile, and one ID check covers both. Switch between “Find a sitter” and “Babysit” at the top of the network. With both profiles, both use the larger family area of about 3 km.
