Reporting a profile, a message or a photo
If something in T1D Babysitting worries you, tell us. You do not need to be sure that a rule was broken. A person looks at every report.
If a child or anyone else is in danger, call your local emergency number now. Then report it in the app.
In short
- Report from the menu (…) on a profile or in a conversation, or by holding a message.
- Pick a reason, add details if you like and tap “Send report”.
- “Also block” is on by default.
- We never tell the other person who reported them.
What you can report
- a profile, including its photos and texts;
- a whole conversation, or a single message;
- a photo in the chat;
- a review.
You can report profiles even without an account.
How to report
- Open what you want to report. On a profile or in a conversation, tap the menu (…) and then “Report”. For a single message, hold the message. For a photo, open it, tap … and then “Report photo”. Each review has its own “Report”.
- Choose a reason. The list shows the reasons that fit what you are reporting.
- Add details if you like. This is optional. A few words about what happened help us decide faster.
- Decide about blocking. “Also block” is on by default. Turn it off if you want to keep talking.
- Tap “Send report”. We attach the reported messages ourselves, so you do not need to send screenshots.
The reasons
- A child may be at risk
- Threats or violence
- Sexual content or sexual harassment
- Harassment or bullying
- Scam, fraud or asking for money
- Fake profile or pretending to be someone else
- Discrimination or hate
- Inappropriate photo
- Shares personal details about a child
- Shares contact details publicly
- Spam or advertising
- Something else
Photos and reviews
If you report a chat photo for sexual content or as an inappropriate photo, it is hidden for both of you at once.
A review that shares a child's details or contains a threat is hidden at once while we look at it.
Your report is confidential
We never tell the other person who reported them. Your name does not appear in our decision, in a notification or anywhere else they can see.
Please report in good faith. Sending reports you know are false breaks our rules.
Reporting without an account
Anyone can report by email to safety@carbetic.app, in German or English. Please include:
- why you think the content is illegal or breaks our rules;
- where it is (the member's display name, town and what you saw);
- your name and email address;
- a statement that you are reporting in good faith.
Reports about child sexual abuse can be made without your name.
What happens next is explained in What happens after a report.
