Two apps, one account

T1D Babysitting is in the Carbetic app and in its own app. Here is how they differ, and how one account works in both.

Two ways in, one network

Carbetic

The 3D carb counter. T1D Babysitting opens from the T1D Babysitting button at the top of the home screen and has its own tabs there: Explore, Messages and Profile.

T1D Babysitting by Carbetic

Here the network is the main part of the app. It opens straight on Explore, with the same three tabs. It has no carb counter: the fork and knife at the far right of the bar shows you the Carbetic app.

Both apps show the same network: the same profiles, chats, reviews and favourites. Use whichever you prefer, or both.

Your account works in both

You do not need an account to open the app and look around, but to see sitters and families near you, you publish a profile. Your account is created when you set up your first profile, with Sign in with Apple, Sign in with Google or your email address.

To use the same account in the other app, sign in there with the same Apple or Google account or email address. If the other app is installed on your phone, it may offer to continue with that account. Your profile, chats and reviews are then there too.

If you sign in with a different Apple or Google account, a new account is started. If your ID check then shows that you already have an account, the app tells you, shows which sign-in it uses and signs you in there with one tap.

Plans are only in the Carbetic app

T1D Babysitting is free for everyone, including messages. A Carbetic plan is only for the 3D carb counter, which is in the Carbetic app. T1D Babysitting by Carbetic has no carb counter and sells no plans.

What is different

In the T1D Babysitting app, the fork and knife at the far right of the bar opens a page about the Carbetic app, with Get Carbetic, or Open Carbetic if it is on your phone.
The T1D Babysitting app has its own short welcome and asks whether you are looking for a babysitter, looking to babysit, or both.
Inside the network, everything works the same in both apps.

On a new phone

Install either app, open the Profile tab and tap Already have an account? Sign in. Use the same Apple or Google account or email address as before.

Leaving or deleting

In the Profile tab of either app you can leave the network or delete your network account.

Leave network hides your profiles and closes your chats, which you can still read. Your account stays, and you can come back at any time.
Delete profile and account deletes your T1D Babysitting data, in both apps. The people you talked to keep the chat, shown as from a "Former member". Your carb-counting data and your plan stay.

Deleting does not cancel a plan. Cancel it in the App Store or Google Play settings. Delete your account and data explains every step.
